103,000 Miles on my '95

SecondCB750
Thought that would get your attention.  I love my cb750.  It's been a great machine and I'd get another one if/when this one ever dies.  I ride it every day to work.  My license plate frame says "If it ain't rainin' I'm ridin'."  I didn't change the clutch until 90,000 mi and I did the work myself.  I do almost all of my own work, chain, sprockets, filters, oil, plugs.  In fact, the only thing it's been in the shop for was front end work.  I get 52 mpg and it runs like a champ.  It's nimble enough in slow traffic and quick enough to get itself out of harm's way.  I love it.  Is there a movement underway to convince Honda to start making them again?

That is alot of miles. From what I can tell no one really knows how many miles these bike will go before they die. Most of the time the bike wastes away sitting or get demolished in a wreck before seeing miles like that. In Japan they still sell cb's that have updated suspension bits and the likes they look awesome and are probably really practical which is also why they won't be coming to the USA with our bigger is better attitude.

It's a 1300cc H2O cooled bike vastly different from the last imported CB.  On a similar topic I'm not sure why Honda doesn't offer a naked 4-cyl like this as all the competetion does.  They now just offer the 990, which looks to be pretty identical to the CB1300 aside from the engine....So there's your CB 'replacement' LOL.

Well the closest thing that honda makes looks wize or at least somewhat reminiscent of the old cbs is the hornet cb600f (I think). I thought I saw in Motorcyclist magazine a picture of a newly designed cb not the 1300cc on it was a 750 but I don't remember if it was in production or just a teaser I will look back and see if I can find the add and maybe post the picture of it

It does appear they make a 400 too.
