The first thing to do is to remove all the covers that have the red RTV silicone on them, and clean it off. Also make sure there is not any in the engine. That stuff will kill one of these engines in a heartbeat. I will not even start an engine that has that on it. There should be laws governing the sales, distribution, and use of RTV silicone. After that clean the suspect area of the leak with spray carb, or brake cleaner. Then get some athletes foot spray with the powder in it, and spray the area. Run the bike for a few seconds, and look for ail in the powder you just sprayed on. You will be able to tell exactly where the leak is.
