Google is a wonderful thing:

According to this link,  here are the factory colors for a 1972 Honda CB750:

1972
CB750
Flake Sunrise Orange
which is comprised of:
Candy Silver Basecoat
UC-16-100
Flake Silver Basecoat
UC-16-103
Candy Orange
HC-16-202

and

Brier Brown Metallic
which is comprised of:
Brier Brown Metallic
HM-16-201

I hope this helps.  Good luck, and take your time.

Well, if you follow that link in my message, and they have some Honda model in that color, that would give you a good start to repainting yours. Good luck, and I'm glad I was able to help.

According to the reference I use, 1974 was also Candy Gold and Planet Blue Metallic.

1972 colours were Freedom Green Metallic, Flake Sunrise Orange and Boss Maroon Metallic.  I don't think that's an original colour Cityslicker.

Hey,
I saw the spec list for "The CB750K2 Four was sold in 1972 and was available in one of three colors: Brier Brown Metallic, Flake sunrise Orange, or Candy Gold. The gas tank stripe was gold." -
However I bought one new in 1972, it was a CB750 K2 and was metallic RED, I think the color was a K2 only and was a more rare than the others, it was lighter than any candy apple or fire engine red I have seen, but close to in between those two.
