1974 CB750 K-5

caferacer
Two questions;

1) The bike is running well but only when the choke is closed. Even after warming up the choke must be closed to run. After warming up, if the choke is opened, the RPM's race way up. The engine is tight so I am not getting any pirate air.

2) Does anyone have a diagram of the hoses under the oil tank. I guess it's some sort of evap system? I do have the 750 manuel with the 2 K-4 supplements and there is no description or photo.

Thanks

Have you checked your plugs to see what they look like? If you run well with choke but not without, it would usually indicate that your mix is very lean. Does the bike die a few seconds of no choke? Clean the plugs and then run without choke for a bit at idle. Pull the plugs and see what color the insulator is.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Thanks for the help. Seems I was getting pirate air from a bad boot. It pays to go back over the work.
