1974 Honda CB360- Ran out of gas now bike won't idle - stalls out?!

My honda cb was running GREAT....until the other day when it ran out of gas. I pushed it to a gas station, filled it up and now it won't idle!?!? I have to constantly give it some gas just to stay on, I rode it home this way and it ran just fine...until i let go of the throttle. I adjusted the idle screw but it does absolutely nothing.... idle doesn't change even when riding it. I played around with the choke and nothing. Here are things I have dont in the last year to get it running...

Replaced carbs, Diaphrams, spark plugs, new battery, Checked fuel float, timing, points, filters.  

today i rechecked the fuel float and spark plugs. everything sounds fine. I was told it could be a dirty fuel filter...but wouldn't that mean it wouldn't be able to run normally?

Most likely when you ran dry on gas, you sucked up crud from the fuel system into the pilot jets. Try cleaning them.
