Well hmmmm. Okay, wintergreen oil doesn't seem to be very common out here in Arizona. I'm going to try the hippy-marts first but none of the pharmacies here carry it.  I might have to order some at this rate... I guess my boot soup will have to wait a bit!

LOL. Hippy marts! Those places are always fun to visit. my sister worked at one when she first got out of high school. I would go by there and talk to her friends sometimes *wink-wink* You usually meet the nicest people in those types of stores.

I haven't has any luck finding any around my area either.Piute, are you saying CVS ordered some in for you. That would make life easy!

My local CVS orders it, for me, but, you have to point out that "Winter Green" is two words, or they will never find it in their computer.

Ugh. 100+ temps are hitting early and hard here this year. This is going to be a looong summer for me I think.

I finally just broke down and ordered the wintergreen online. The only stuff stores here could order was silly expensive so I have a week or so to wait on that. I could get it $6 for half an oz or $8 lb online and ordered some other oil for my business while I was at it since it was flat rate shipping. Might as well, right?

That just sounds refreshing right now! You can put more layers on, you can only take so much off before the police get involved... At least in public. I did get one of those Heat-Out shirts to try out, seems to work pretty well when riding on my bicycle to class under my white jacket. Layers to keep heat in, layers to keep heat out!

And thanks! If only people knew how much influence Calvin and Hobbes have had on me

You can replace those bushings in the aluminum casting with PFTE Teflon bushings that can withstand 547ºF temps.

Then you will not have the steel shaft going through a bronze bushing and the corrosion associated with that.

The bushings are 10mm inside and 13 mm outside and they come in 10mm widths so you can use 2 on each side.
CAUTION: Be very careful when removing those bushings or you can break the aluminum casting.
Put the casting on top of a socket and tap the bushing down wards.

PM to me and i will give you the source.-LUCKY

EDIT:

The PTFE bushings can be gotten at http://www.qbcbearings.com/RFQ/Default.asp?Page=B610Main.htm&gclid=CKXX39Kdl7ACFQF7hwodL3tD1Q Go to  >sleeve bushings.

I will recieve some this tuesday and will let you know how well they fit.
You have to oreder 8 of the 10mmx13mmx10mmwide bushings. It is the minimum order but the you have spares or you can sell them to a fellow member or carb rebuild guy.
