I have a 1976 Honda CB750F. It is Anteres Red and the side covers are grey. I have the red paint color code. But I can't find the code for the grey. Can anyone help me out? Thanks, dmc8163

You will probably need to take the cover to an automotive paint store, and match it. I do it all the time, usually end up with a perfect match.

And there-in lies the problem. The bike has black reproduction side covers. I plan to buy an OEM set of grey covers as soon as I find them. In the meantime I wanted to paint the black covers the correct color. The best I can come to the color at the moment is in an advertisement from the day. Thank you for responding. What a fabulous collection of bikes you have! Dave

I thought you had gray covers. I have two early "F" models, a 75 "F" and a 76 "F-1" and both have side covers that are the same color as the tank. I did not know any had gray side covers.

I thought the OEM covers were black.  Here is what Honda says about 1976 Honda CB750F:

It was available in one of two colors: Sulfur Yellow or Candy Antares Red
The instrument faces were bright green
    The exhaust was a 4-into-1
The tank and rear cowl were the basic color (yellow or red); but the side covers were black
The wheels were wire spoked with a single front disc brake and single rear disc brake
The engine and fork legs were silver
The engine was a 736cc SOHC 2-valve air-cooled inline 4 cylinder linked to a 5-speed transmission and chain drive
    The serial number began CB750F-2000003.

I have seen them in black. Mine could have been painted.
