1976 super sport clutch in a k model?

wbradshaw6
Hey guys,

The pressure plate in my clutch got a crack in it. I had the crack welded as a temporary fix and am about to install performance clutch plates so I want to replace my clutch basket to make sure everything is top notch. Looking around on Ebay, I am having trouble finding a clutch basket from a 1976 K model. I have been told that the baskets from later models, i.e. 77-78 will not fit, so I am looking for one from around 72-76. There are a lot of listings for clutches from super sports, does anyone know if the F model clutches are interchangeable with my K engine? Thanks for the help guys. Also, will someone confirm that the 77-78 clutches will not fit...

Honda did make a change sometime in the mid 70s. 74-75 However the F basket should be the same as the K for the same years.
You could go to powersedge.com and look through the parts diagrams untill you find the change.
