1977 CB750 rebuild

SoonerJoe
Hi guys, I recently acquired a basket case 77 cb750 for 150 bucks. it was last tagged in 83 so i was only ridden for 7 yrs before someone broke off some spark plugs, removed the exhaust, and let moisture sit in the cylinders for 28 yrs. Anyways, i somehow got the motor out of the frame and tore it down. I was impressed with the brand new oil that came out of it, great looking bearings and factory cross hatch on the parts of the cylinders that were not rusted. Now to the point, i'm going to take the cylinder jug down to my favorite machine shop and have it bored first oversize. What size to i need to tell my shop to machine the bores too? Also, can i use pre-77 pistons and rings since i need to buy oversize? it's hard to find the 77-78 ones.

Need to know if it is an F, or a K model. F models had a different cylinder head which had less compression. If I were you, I would get an 850cc kit from cycle-x. Complete kit is only $240.00

It is a K model. I know the three c's of power... cam, compression, and cubic inches. But i'm not really looking for something reliable and fun. I've found in my travels that when you start adding power other things start to break. I was just thinking a .25 over lit from cycle x.
