1977 CB750K Stock Exhaust

nadores
I have a 1977 CB750K with 4 into 2 pipes.  I was able to find a very nice set of stock pipes and mufflers.  I was also, after much digging, able to find the rare mounting plates (from the Neatherlands).  I still feel something is missing based on the schematics.  Would someone with a stock system be kind enough to take pictures of how the system mounts to the frame at the rear pegs.  Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Bike bandit has exploded diagrams of the parts used in mounting. Not the best in clarity but it is pretty self-explanatory. A month ago I would have been able to get a pic of the area.

Did you find 77/78 exhaust ? Earlier models used a different mounting than 77/78 did. You CAN use earlier systems, but you will need to change to the earlier mounting.

I did some looking and David silver spares has some pipes left, new, unused. Very expensive.
They also have genuine points too. overseas though, so prices will be higher and so will shipping.

There are other options, but it sounds like perfect stock is your goal.

I have the exploded view of the pipes from the Honda web site.  I agree that the quality isn't that good but I think I have the correct brackets.
I found a complete set of pipes by accident and in fact received them today.  The guy wanted $500 but I got them for $350.  Haven't seen a set a nice as these out there.  They'll take a lot of elbow grease but so far so good.  Right now I believe I have all the hardware to mount them.  Bike should be here in 5-10 days (bought in on Ebay and it's in really nice shape) and then I'll know if everything is correct.  Funny thing, if I didn't mention it before but only one of the mounting brackets and hold the pipes together and then bolts to the frame is available as a new part.  The other side has been discontinued for some reason.  The again scoured the country for the single bracket and wound up finding it in The Neatherlands.  Shipping was a bite in the butt and so was the conversions from Euro's to $'s.
Thanks for your input.

I find it funny how certain parts or discontinued while others are not. Maybe the mounting plate has been changed so that it is usable on both sides. That's what happened with the carb manifolds. 2 of the 4 were discontinued because the other 2 could be flipped over and work.
