1978 how to hot wire

shultz_1978
Hi guys
I pick up a 78 parts bike and was woundering if anyone knows How to jump what wires to get spark? The ignition and all the lights are gone but it looks like all the rest of the wiring is there with coils and the motor is intacked with carbs

I would like to see if I can get it to fire before I pull the motor and part it out. It is missing all the tins and the fram was hacked on. It does have the wheels.

Any ideas?

Just connect the black/white wire that goes to the coils to the battery. Then just short across the starter solenoid with a screwdriver to crank it over.

Thanks Tools Got it fire up. I will make a post of things I will be parting out. It is a 1978 with no tins or lights. The motor will be put up for a spare the rest will be up for grabs.
