1979 Part on a 1973 CB750

How interchangeable are the parts from a 1979 to a 1973 or vice versa? For example, I can get a 1979 CB750 OEM exhaust but I am not sure it will go on my 1973 CB750. Anyone know what the differences were, if any from year to year. Is there a resource for this?

I suggest you go to www.babbittsonline.com and do some research. I`m not up to date with the `73 CB750. At that stage I was too busy chasing the love of my life who today is now my wife of 36 years and two grown up kids !!! Only got back into biking when my eyes saw the first DOHC CB750KZ and fell in love with a machine. The wife approved and the kids now have various models in various states of refurbishment.

You may have to get the brackets for the 1979 CB750 and modify them to make them fit with a bit of fidling around.
