1980 750F

artbiztommy
just got an unmolested stocker out of a climate controlled barn that hasn't run in 4 years.
started right up with fresh battery, but carbs are leaking, so it's at my wrench's shop now.
while that's being done i want to get some fresh tires to put on it...what sizes? what brand?
can shocks be rebuilt or should i be looking for some fresh ones??

Polymer-2
I got some tires from Ride Direct at a good price with $10 shipping for both. I used the Kenda Challenger 100/90-19 front and 120/90-18 rear but a 130 will fit the stock rim which is what I removed.
Shocks are still available from Honda but you wont like the price. Look for some aftermarkets. I don't know which will interchange.

odd you should mention that clutch thing....
i'm going to have forearms like Popeye if i can't get the pull adjusted correctly on my clutch.
how do i reset the clutch?---BTW, i've to receipts for a clutch replacement that was done right before the bike went into storage, so i have some reason to assume the parts aren't worn out.

there are a few adjustments you can do. 1. at the lever itself, 2. at the clutch housing the swing arm actuator, 3. there is a cap on the face of your clutch housing, remove that there is a nut with a flat head adjusting screw in the middle.

1. is mainly to take up slack due to wore clutch or cables

2 can kind of set the ingage and disengageing of the clutch (not to much play though)

3 mainly if your clutch slips at high rpms.

how hard your clutch is to pull in is due to either heavy clutch springs or crap in your cable. squirt some wd-40 or what i like to use is some PB spray. if its heavy due to springs lol we will ust start calling you popeye now lol.
