1980 CB750F carburetor issue after rebuild

fojekl
Hello,
I have a 1980 CB750F that I just finished rebuilding most of the carbs with a kit from K&L.  Everything on the carbs looks fine and is clean.  Floats appear to be OK too along with everything else.
When I put the carbs back in the bike I can get it started with some throttle, but when giving the bike some gas it remains "bogged" down and does not response at all to full throttle or partial throttle.  The jets are stock sizes, but new.  No modifications to any part of the carbs or airbox has been done.
I am wondering if I have a leaking cyclinder or something else going on besides the carbs??

Any suggestions.  I have had the carbs out of the bike three times now and do not see any issues with the carbs, but the bike definitely runs the same and carb adjustments are made according to manual.

Welcome to the forum. it sounds like, you either have a vacuum leak, or the main jet is plugged.

Hi Kev,
I have just done exactly the same to my 1982 cb750f, i had the same problems to and i found that my accelerator pump diaphram was buggered, replaced that, and i had a vaacum leak between carbs and engine, i replaced the rubbers and made sure they were clamped nice and tight. Problem solved!

Good luck tho, carbs are a real pain in the a**!!!!!
