Believe it or not Im not going to have an inch to spare in the electrical box otherwise I would.

Im a bit bummed I screwed the pooch on one of the plugs. The red plug that goes in near the starter and has two blue and two yellow on the same plug. I was in such a rush to move them through and into the box I cut all 4 wires without marking where they go....  oh god now I need to research and not DO stuff ugggh I hate wiring diagrams....

As long as the two yellow go to the same one, and the two blue go to the other one, it will not make any difference.

Im about ready to just pay someone to fix the issue.

I'm just going out on a limb here but did you test the spark units to make sure that both are working and that one isn't bad?

yeah all the electronics are testing out fine. Im just frustrated with it. Ive got a guy thats showing up in the morning to get the wiring sorted and then we will see about tuning the carbs then at 6pm I will have the bike at a fab shop out in Perris CA to have the custom pipes made and the guy will tune them the rest of the way. While he is doing that I will be buying the parts I need off his parts bike and installing them on my bike. Mine should be most of the way finished by the time I get it home tomorrow night.

@ksharp - Tyvm I am having a bunch of work done to it tomorrow. Custom exhause, wiring and when talking to my fab guy he got really excited about my custom air box idea and he may do it for the cost of the parts.

With any luck I will have a decently running bike by tomorrow evening. Plated and ready for the street in a week or two at most.

Re: 1980 Honda CB750 bobber project

Super Bummed Friday morning my Jeep came down with a nice heavy rod knock. I figured it might be worth investigating and pulled the valve cover to discover all the lifters on the left side of the engine had gone bad. Hoping beyond hope I dropped about 100 for new lifters since more then half of them were trash. It didnt fix the problem and I have a distinct knocking.

Everything is now on hold as I am spending all of the money Id been making by buying and selling bikes to buy a replacement vehicle. Buying my parents bronco from my childhood (the truck I took my drivers test in over a decade ago)

As a result everything I have bike related besides this particular build is now up for grabs

1970 Yamaha 90 - cold froze resto project
1984 Yamaha Virago XV1000L soft tail bobber project - needs a starter clutch, rewire and paint. Comes with a good used starter a brand new in the box starter has all the cdi boxes etc.
1981 CB650 Parts bike (as seen in the for sale section) Most of the bike is there. I wouldnt hope for much on the engine but who knows it could still be good.
two VW swing axle transmissions (if anyone here happens to do vdubs)

I wont be selling the Honey Badger I WILL be riding this bike some day. Anyone who wants to help me out by buying anything on the list maybe we can help one another out.
