SO the tranny and engine do not share oil on the DOHSs like the SOHCs do?

Yes they do share the same oil. Just like the SOHC engines. However they have a wet sump like the matic.

Just a word of caution:  transmission coolers are NOT the same as oil coolers...  The channels are different sizes, with transmission coolers having smaller channels, as the transmission fluid is thinner, less viscous.  I would advise against using a transmission cooler for engine oil.  Check out the vendor sites for companies who sell such things -- you will see that they market different coolers for the two applications.  Cheers!

SOLD i am no longer a cb750 owner altho i loved this bike and had alot of fun with it. i still wanted to do more with it but a guy liked it so much he made me an offer i had to let it go to a good home. the guy who bought it off me collects custom bikes of people. i am now a r1 owner this is the final picture the way it left, i can just imagine what ima do the the next cb i end up with
