My recent purchase

Just purchased my first bike!!! It's not perfect but I'm a pretty handy guy so I'll get it figured out.

Sorry for the late reply. Been really busy lately.

I wanna go cafe style with it. I looked for a while before I found this bike, but I'm beginning to regret buying someone else's project. I've had to redo alot of wiring at this point just to get lights working. My charging system still isn't working. That being said even with a fresh charge on the battery it's still running crappy. Really feels like it's lacking power. I'm struggling to maintain 55mph. Every once in a while it will jump a little like it wants to go faster and the sound of the engine will change but then it just settles back where it was. Carbs are good and the vacuum leaks I had are fixed. I've read that the charging system has alot to do with acceleration past 5000rpm but would that affect low rev power too.

Well that's one of the things I'm wondering cuz with a fresh charge on the battery its making like 13 volts. It revs just fine in neutral up to around 5000rpm, but when I start riding it seems real sluggish. I can open the throttle all the way from around 2000 rpm and I get a deeper sound but very little change in acceleration compared to 1/4 throttle.

Truck
If you still have those pods on that is part of your problem.
It's only illegal if you get caught.

If at first you don't succeed, use more lighter fluid

I never even noticed that, good catch Truck. I have never see pods work correctly on those CV carbs.
