1981 Honda CB 750 K rear shocks

ezimmerman

I have a 1981 Honda CB 750 K and I am looking to lower it a little bit since I am a pretty small dude.  I believe the rear shocks are either fourteen or thirteen inches end to end and I was wandering how interchangeable these parts are and how small of a shock will fit this bike?  I am also assuming if I lower the back It would make sense to lower the front end equally?

Any help would be much appreciative! Thanks!

If you lower the rear without lowering the front, it will slightly increase the trail of your front wheel, which makes for more stable but less responsive steering. I would lower the front as well just because i trust hondas reasoning for engineering the bikes with that rake. Be careful you dont ruin your exhaust too.

Thanks ALehman,
I am wandering if I could go down to like ten or twelve inch rear shocks? I just need an inch or two more so I can stand a little more flat footed.

Just go to vintagecb750.com or cyclex.com and get a set of 11" shocks.
