1981 cb750 forks on a 1980 bike

Giger1039
Hey guys this is my first post and I need some help! Bobbing my 1980 cb750c and the front fork tubes are rusted and shot. Bought some off eBay for $130...for a 1981 which are apparently air shocks, mount to the wheel differently, and have a different caliper mounting bracket. What options do I have other than losing the money? I'm on a very limited budget and any help would be appreciated.

Without knowing which model forks you have I cannot say for sure, but you might be able to swap the tubes in the sliders.
