Me too... We'll have to see. I think some time around the beginning of the year things should pick back up. It usually does. The 4th quarter is usually slow for us... we make diesel fuel tanks for the oil, fire truck, construction, and school bus industries... we're pretty small, only about 40 employees across 2 shifts, but I kind of like that... things tend to be more laid back. Not as much stress. But when winter starts coming in, things just get a little slower and the OT goes away.
Anyhow, we'll get through, and when the OT comes back, I am on it!
Thanks for the thoughts!

You do not even need carb "kits". That is car thinking.

This is a motorcycle.
Just get 4 new float needles. They are probably rubber tipped so you won't need seats.
Check it out.

Do not remove any butterflies in the carb. Leave them alone.

There is almost no reason to replace a float bowl O ring unless it is leaking.
Smear a little Vasoline on the seal before assembly thats all.

Just make sure the idle jets are clean.
If there is a part that is obviously worn,  replace it.
Make sure the vacuum diaphrams have no holes or tears or it will never idle correctly.

40 employees is not that small. More like a medium size company.

They were probably trying to keep from laying off an employee.
Maybe you. Be thankful.
Good luck on the project. Take your time.
Send us pics from time to time... Thanks.
