2nd Death on the Tail of the Dragon in just over 3 weeks
 Oct.23rd : Another death on the Dragon Monday. A 62-year old female rider from North Carolina died when her southbound cruiser went off the road at mile marker 4.. On the Maps, this hair pin curve is known as Parson's Curve. There is a bump coming out of the turn on the southbound side that can almost make you feel like that you are going air born.

Bad news.  I was at the Nurburgring about six years ago and they said one motorcylist dies on the track every month.  Be careful out there.  
Maintain thy airspeed, lest the ground arise and smyte thee.
A mile of highway will take you one mile.  A mile of runway will take you anywhere.

What's the speed limit on this road? Was it a matter of excessive speed, something/someone else in the road, operator error?

That's sad news you never want to hear.Whether you know the person or not. I have seen some youtube videos of this road. It would be a blast to ride on,but it looks like it's swarmed with show-offs. It'd be a good place for a safe rider to get hurt I'd still like to give it a go!
