61.107MM Bore ok?

Hi guys that's measurement that machine shop got at largest diameter. My question is can I get away with just a new set of rings? Thanks in advance.

The Honda service manual says the service limit is 61.1mm so yours are over the limit. What did the machine shop say the taper and out of round measurements were. The taper limit is 0.05mm and out of round is 0.15mm.

You can get an 836cc piston kit for less then a set of standard rings. I have used kits from both of these ebay sellers. No complaints so far.

That equates to less than 3 ten thousandths of an inch. You can gain or lose a couple ten thousandths on temperature alone.

If you didn't already, I'd leave the bore and the measuring device on the same room/climate for at least a day so the will normalize. I just can't see 0.000279 " ( I converted it to inches for my own brain to compute better) making much of a difference. Completely unprofessional opinion, so, grain of salt , ya know.

Well, basket came without pistons, I will need to get new ones anyways, so might as well spend a bit more and get everything perfect, thanks for your help guys.
