I can't believe, you let someone take your money, for that bike. Tell, you what. I'll give, you your money back, for it.

Finally got her started tonight, she sounds good but won't run for very long. It has a 2-1 exhaust on each side. Been cleaning carbs for the last week. Ill keep you posted with pics of the progress.

I would do a straight up restoration on that bike
Except I would get the correct seat.

I could really respect a resto on that bike, but as nice as it looks now,I would just get her going and ride the wheels off of it this summer.Maybe a resto over the winter. A bike that nice needs to be seen!

Thanks guys the pic really does make the bike look good but up close it needs some work. I'ma work on getting it running for the summer then mabey a Fran off restor next winter. Already cleaned the carbs, switched out the handlebars for clubmans, ima try and keep everything else factory maybe change the exhaust. Previous owner was going for the chopper look. Has anyone ever seen a Honda sissy bar before?

That's vintage aftermarket. Back in the 70's, you could get all kinds of stuff like that. JC Whitney was a big supplier. Are, you wanting to sell it?

You notice it has a star in place of the "O" in Honda. That is, so they can get around copyright law's.

The guy I bought the bike from was almost in tears when he sold it. He was super proud of that sissy bar, he told me and i quote "whatever you do to it don't never sell it" lol. I thought it was for a Harley when I first looked at it.

Hey you guys have any tips for re-installing throttle cables on clubman handle bars?

I reused my stock throttle cables with my clubmans. I had to route the cables out of the throttle so that they went ahead of the throttle and they ended up looping thru the forks rather than beside them.It can be done...and it will look crazy. But most cafe's you see have cables hanging out all over the place at odd angles anyways. Most people won't even notice the difference.

By the way, lovely bike. Color is fantastic and I'm sure it will look great no matter what you do with it.
I would personally get a new seat, lights, and bars and have a sick cafe.

Oh yeah, there's always getting it running, too

Thanks half-calf. Must have been reading my mind on the updates for this bike-get it running, update the handle bars, seat and this exhaust needs some attention. I updated the air filter to the cone ones, but after reading some other post I guess I just made work for myself cause I will need to re-jet the carbs. Rookie mistake on my part

We are indeed too much alike. When I first got my bike I also went  bought a set of pods in my newbie zeal
But hey, you live and learn right?
Looking forward to seeing what you do with your ride
