750 britian id

fatram397
recently had a clearance of several bikes one which included this Honda CB750 Britain (or as I believe). How would we tell the difference between Honda Britain, the Phil Read Replica,or  Seeley as these were all produce around the same time and have similar features. The bike i have has a large alloy tank, aircraft filler cap, drop  handle bars, rear sets, and the engine number starts CB750GE the bike also has rear discs. If anyone has any info that could help me in my research in any way please reply to this post. Thankyou.

Piute

When diving into finding info on my 1977 F2 (witch they are made from) ran into these bikes quite a bit so lots of info out there
Only 150 replicas were built by Seeley and very few exist today, mostly within the UK. There is a Seeley Honda that people often get mixed up with the Phil Read replica but that used a full Seeley-build chassis and was popular with the touring brigade, whereas the race-rep is merely a standard [[Honda CB750|Honda CB750], stripped of its tank, seat and exhaust before adding UK-built Seeley items and a fairing. They even left the original side panels on to match the rest of the scheme.
