750E?

ok guys i just got a bike from a friend, the vin on the engine says cb750E. when i go to online parts store and search 750e it doesn't pull anything up. some help on this matter would be great because im needing to rebuild the entire engine. thanks.

Yeah no such thing as the E. Your vin tag will tell you what you got or at least year and we can go from there. Look on the neck, right side I think for the actually vin for the bike.

Now that is a cool bike. I like the 70s style chopper-bobber style. I do not know much about the serial numbers, but the sohc engines were not changed much through the entire production period. It was the small block Chevy of motorcycles. I would feel safe using 72-78 parts listings.

That is a nice find you got there.

The number in the picture is the engine serial, all the 750's have two serials one on the enigine and one on the neck. All the encine serials start with either 750E or 750F.
I looked up what I can see on the photo. It look like you might have a 1970 or 1971 K1, not sure though. Need either the neck serial or the complete engine serial.  Don't right that in stone though, I could be wrong.
