That is true but you cannot get decent paint in a spray can anymore.

Powder coat is rock hard and glass smooth.  Fuel proof too!!

If you know of a black spray paint or brush on paint that is sold in stores that is good paint please let me know where it is and what the name is. Thanks. Must be fuel proof too.
Right now only fuel proof paint is clear, in a special two part spray can.

On the last bike I built I used good primer and good matching brand black paint and within
one year the paint was all chipped up.  You can retouch it easy but it never looks smooth.

Why do you say that?

The stock wiring harness on a stock bike is all plug and play.
It makes the job easy and it looks great!

Thanks Guys,
It was fun and a way for me to relax after work. I am riding it. Besides it running a little rich(which i am
sorting out now) it run great. Went for a nice ride Sat. and I never got so many waves and thumbs up.
It's our annual Thunder Beach here now(Panama City, Fl). Stopped for gas and a group of Harley guys were around it
when I came out. You can tell I made there day. I think I'll do my 78 the same way next.
Cheers!
