Is your kickstand down when you put it in gear?  Not sure what year your bike is or if it has a safety switch on the kickstand but if it does check to make sure its up when you put the bike in gear.

Is it stalling out, or just shut off like the ignition switch was turned off?

If it is trying to go then dies, it makes me think that you have a carburetor problem, and not an electrical problem.

But when on neutral it seems perfectly fine and I also noticed that one of my fuses burnt out.

Does it die after putting a load on the engine, such as putting it into gear? If, so you have a carburetor problem.

Re: 77' CB750 Automatic problem when switching gear

What is the history of this bike?  Is the electrical system in good shape - properly wired up - as far as you know?

Wondering about that blown fuse - have you replaced it?  Which fuse?

Your problem doesn't sound plausible - based on your description.  Your description makes it sound like - put bike in gear, and engine dies instantly - like you hit the off switch.  Does the engine die that abruptly - or does it slowly die?

If you "blip the throttle" can you keep the bike running in gear?  Thinking about the idle solenoid here . . . .

The most detailed description you can provide helps us all help you.

Re-read your other posts.

I see that the bike dies within a second or so.  Back to the idle solenoid.

If you look closely, you should be able to see the dashpot pull open the throttle slightly when the bike is in gear (to keep it running), and then drop back slightly when the bike is shifted to neutral (so the engine doesn't rev too high).

Back to my prior question - can you either "blip the throttle" or hold it open slightly to keep the bike running?

So - can you keep it running if you hold the throttle open slightly?    Put your bike in gear, and give it a little gas - just enough to get back to the normal "idle speed".  If the bike still runs when you open the throttle slightly in gear, then I'd bet good money that this in your problem.

BTW - yes your bike has clutches - they are there - but you don't control them directly.  When you switch into gear, a clutch is engaged.

The 750A bike differ from the 400/450A bikes in this way.  The later 400/450A bikes have no clutches at all.  Different methods used.  I wish that the 750A bikes were designed like the 400/450A bikes for this reason . . . a lot less complicated.
