Added some pin stripes (tape) and color sanded and buffed out the paint. Have to paint the radiator shrouds some day. Probably will when I pull the radiator to change the timing  belts.

Also have to mount the new pipes. I'm worried though because the saddle bags are clamped to the stock exhaust and these pipes are going to be much lower so I'll have to lower the bags to be able to brace them up to the exhaust.

I got the pipes on without any major issues, other than trying to wrangle the 65LB stock muffler out from beneath the bike. Surprisingly, these slip-ons aren't much louder than stock. A bit throatier but still quite.

I also replaced the speedometer. The odometer wasn't working. From the maintenance records in the owners manual and the mileage on the title, it looks like there's about 3 years worth of miles missing. It stopped at 34K, that was in 2009. The guy I got it off bought shortly after that. But, he didn't ride it much. The replacement speedometer has 41K on it.

I noticed that it's missing a bit below 4,000 RPM and cylinder #1 doesn't get as hot as the others (water spray test). The vacuum cap is broken on the #1 carb, betting that's got something to do with. I'll fix that and give it some new plugs and points and see if it improves. Running Sea Foam through it too, that really helped my 750 to run better a low RPMs. Everything else is working though. I spent about three hours trying to figure out why my running lights and dash lights quit working shortly after I added the turn signals back on. It kept blowing the fuse. I took the signals apart, removed the Vetter wiring harness and cleaned up all the wiring in the headlight bucket and they started working again. Must have been a dead short in there somewhere.

I love the contrast of the red around the radiator with the whole bike, and of course that motor is too cool, looks kinda steampunk

I keep looking at the pic of your bike,Rich and something keeps looking familiar to me.Your building in the background looks like the garage Burt Munroe lived in in the World Fastest Indian movieI really like what you've done with the pinstriping man, looks great! I wouldnt worry much about the rad shroud myself. If anything I'd flat black it out to make it disappear. I bet that big girl is hard to get on the center stand aint it?lol
