78 cb750f Pamco ignition installation

Rockwork
I'm installing the Pamco electronic ignition system. If you've successfully installed one, please clarify some instructions.

I'm assuming I run the ignition wires (green, red, black) directly from the ignition up to the coils.
1) Can I eliminate the blue & yellow wires that run from the ignition back to the connection at the right side cover?

2) The manual shows the points on the left of the ignition plate firing 1 and 4 and the points on the right firing 2 and 3.  Therefore should the green wire from the left trigger connect with the blue wire of the 1 and 4 coil, and the green wire from the 2 & 3 trigger connect to the blue wire of the 2 & 3 coil?

Here's the big question:
3) The red wire from both right and left triggers are supposed to connect with the black & white wires. The coils are already connected to the black & white trigger wires. Do I need to add a splitter to combine the wire from the ignition into the coil wires/?

Thank you.

Yes, Tools, we know you love your points.

Rock, I would contact Pete directly pete@cbignition.com

Also, http://www.cb750ignition.com/installation3.htm

Now, there are 3 different instructions depending on bike.

The pamco is an excellent unit with reliability every bit as good as points. It has been around for years and so you should have good luck once you have it hooked up.

Incredible difference.

After interpreting the wiring instructions as best I could, got it installed last night. After one attempt, then reversing the order for the triggers to the coils (the triggers on the Pamco plate are opposite of the points order), it started right up.

I have not experienced CB this smooth before. I thought the iridium plugs made a big difference, but the electronic ignition makes an incredible difference.

The only complaint I would make is the need to supply the 2 into 1 connectors that are necessary at the coils. Everything else can be cannibalized from the extracted parts.

Thanks for your input.

Excellent! I know when I put on my dyna s, I had faster starts, faster warm up times, smoother idle, and slightly better mpg. Things ran fine with points but electronic ignitions provide a better coil saturation which in turn gives better spark.

If/when my dyna dies, a pamco will be the obvious choice.
