81 750K GAUGE QUESTION

TRAV321
Hello everyone, I have a question about my 81 750k.  I'm trying to get my gauge lights working in the speedo and tach.  I took it apart last night and it looks like there is four bulbs total right?  One in the bottom and one in the top of each.  I guess I have to pull the rubber grommets out and they'll be in there.  The question is, they all stopped working at one time.  Is it, "when one goes out, they all go out" situation, or do I have a different problem?  I checked fuses on the handlebars and they're all good, maybe there's another one somewhere.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

The wiring diagram is as I thought . Power feeds from the ignition switch , the ground ( green wire ) is common to the gauge lighting ,  and high beam indicator lamp . If your high beam indicator light works , there is an open in the green wire between there and the gauge lighting . I looked on my 81 custom ( should be the same ) and the looms all run into the headlight bucket . That's where I'd start , but for the sake of saying you did it first , check the bulbs . It's not likely that all 4 are out at the same time , but stranger things have happened . -- Otto
