"81 CB750C tail light/turn signal re-wire

Needforsteve
Woo! First post!

I bought a good-but-worn condition CB a couple weeks ago that's mostly intact but has some wiring issues.
The turn signals all around are absent and the tail/brake light isn't working. The wiring from the battery/main fuse area rearward has been hacked up (someone installed what looks like a killswitch for the taillight) so none of the original wiring is there.

Can anyone direct me to where I should be looking for the tail/brake/turn signal wires, or how to rewire these systems? I'm not above running all new wire if I can figure out the connector schemes and where these wires run...

I've enjoyed reading here, and am looking forward to getting this bike going!

There should be a wiring diagram of this bike somewhere on this forum.  If you can get it back to stock form, that would be a good place to start.  It may be easier to find an old wiring harness, and trying to graft it in.

Glad we're able to help. I hope you get it running soon.  Summer's just gettin' started.

Forgot to mention I ordered a Clymer manual as soon as I bought the bike lol so I at least have that...

Sat down beside the bike with the wiring diagram tonight and found the harness connection that should feed the taillight harness (that isn't there) and the dangling wires for the rear brake light switch (that's been hacked out).

I think I'm gonna start a "build" thread so I can post up in there as I go without blowing up the general section lol
