Welcome to the forum. The easiest way to lower the front is to just loosen the clamp bolts on the triple trees, and slide the forks up in them. If, you really want to change the front end, you can use earlier CB 750, or 550 forks. Both are shorter then the DOHC forks, but the 550 are even shorter then the 750 forks. You would need to change the triple trees to the earlier ones, and use an earlier wheel also. They will bolt on, however I would suggest using a set of "All Balls" tapered roller bearings. Also, you could use the front end from a 75-76 Gold Wing. Again, you will need the triple trees, and wheel. Also I would suggest the "All Balls" tapered bearings.
