Hello,
I have a very much abused 1982 CB750F that I am trying to keep going for a few years as my learning-to-ride bike. It looks like the oil cap/dipstick on the bike is not the original, and it reads that it is full of oil when it is really down to about 1.5 quarts. Since it burns oil like crazy, I need to be able to keep an eye on the level.
Could anybody tell me how far down from the top of the pan the oil should be when it is full? I can just put a new mark on the existing cap/dipstick instead of trying to track down the OEM parts.
