900F-SS Oil coooler

Recently I was passing about 10 cars at over 100mph and it was about 98F outside HOTT!  and then my 750fss died and I could smell burning wires.-the stator caught fire! (So i'm pulled over on the side of the road and all those horrified motorists were rolling by yelling profanities at me.) Question: will a 900Fss oil cooler fit my bike?
Or do I have to drill and tap in certain areas.  What about TIG welding  larger cooling fins on to existing?

Something else would have had to happen to get your stator to burn up like that. I have idled for short periods with my 78 and no fire. At your speed, cooling would have been enough. Something else caused that fire, not engine heat. At least not by itself.
