Hey guys, I have now bled brakes using the oil can. Still have a problem, system free of air but will only get a good stiff lever if I remove the caliper and clamp the pistons in, as soon as I put the calipers back on and the pistons are free (to clamp the new pads to the disc), the lever goes all the way the the handle bar grip....!!!!

You must have a bad spot on your piston, or seal in the caliper. Pull it apart, and check it out.

Hey tools, I have done it, but it was a very odd way. I removed the calipers, let the pistons come out, onto a spanner (wrench) that was slightly narrower than disc, bled brakes and put the caliper back on. Worked?? It was the piston moving in & out that was my problem. Dont know why..fD
