A couple issues

fatmitch84
I have an 81 CB750K and I lost my only key.  Honda couldn't cut me a new one and I eventually had to get an after market ignition.  I have two problems (they are not necessarily related)  I can't unlock the gas cap because the new key doesn't unlock it.  Also, the bike sat for about the a month.  i fired it up today and one of the cards was leaking fuel.  Any thoughts?

With regard to the leaking fuel, read the post I sent to ThomasF514 under the heading of " 1979 CB750F Carbs " Sometimes it might be a bit of dirt that has become lodged in the float chamber.  Start the motor and give it a good run ( block off the offending carb  with a small screw/bolt/piece of metal pipe or what ever ) and take the bike for a good run taking it to the redline if neccessary. This often dislodges the little bit of dirt that has  come through the fuel tank from standing for sometime. Hope that helps.

Oh and before I forget, a competent locksmith should be able to make a key using a template. The other alternative is to remove the two screws that holds the "chrome" part that goes over the fuel cap and that way you will be able to access the cap - it happened to me many years ago, but I have two sets of spare keys for my bike which are hidden in a safe an secure place on the bike, so in the event of me losing the keys, all is not lost as I know where the other spare is and it only takes a few seconds to get at it  and I`m on my way again.
