Air-cut off valve replacement in CB750 carb rebuild

Japper
I am in the process of rebuilding the carbs on my 1981 CB750C bike and replacing the air cut off valve on carb #1.

Question is, has anyone replaced the air cut off valve on the remaining carbs without removing the carbs from the mounting plates? If so, how difficult was it? Looks quite challenging to do with spring and diaphram!!!

by looking at your pics ,i think the tough part will be getting the screws back in ,the spring isn,t strong ,so that shouldn,t be a problem ,i think it is a test of will .if it doesn,t work ????

Actuially completed the work yesterday. The toughest part was to remove the screws. Had to take plyers to start to unscrew. Did a little damage to the sides of the screw head, however, turned out OK!!.

Good thing I did, the diaphrams were in bad shape and sticky

thx for your comment
