Anyone know an electrician??

kjdelaney211
Man, I hit a major speed bump in my rebuild. I thought i did a good job documenting the wiring and what went where, but apparently i didn't... I hooked up the battery and got nothing.... The wires to the fuse box got very hot and as soon as i discovered that i disconnected the battery. I'm in way over my head now...anyone have any suggestions as to who i can take this to or perhaps there is someone in the central ohio area that is familiar with the wiring on these bikes? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  Your going to pay .
Alot.for trouble shooting any wire's Go over againALL yo connections good againuse a small electrical terminal cleaning brush on each one.(I did)While there look at were wire is crimped to contact(brass Thingy)Is it burnt blk looking ?Wires become weak inside that area due to being bend back n forth(pushed on) all the time from plugging in n out. This is your best start.
  Besides the exterior obvious.

Me not knowing how to use MY tach N dwel,do this before I have / would pay ,somebody else to check flow of each wire, one by one.Main 1's 1st of couse, but all need to be check ,may-be cheaper to put out 75bucks and replace.

You just have a short. Track it down. Hook a test light between the battery negative post, and the negative cable. Then start disconnecting things until the light goes out. That will be where the short is.
