Anyone using a Carpy's Scorcher Chrome Muffler?

maybe73
I am wondering if anyone has any real world experience with this slip on muffler. Quality, looks, fit, performance, sound ,ease of install? It seems to be a good price. I have been riding on open header for a while and love the sound but after about an hour the frequency of the buzz in my helmet gets to me. I don't like the looks of the stock 1975 cb750f muffler, it's to large for my taste so I removed it. Thanks for your thoughts.

I had one of his seat pans, and it did not fit anything, so I modified it to fit something else.

Thanks for the reply. I have to figure something out. Not going to wear earplugs, that was my wife's suggestion.

General consensus was that carpy was good in the beginning but now just rides off his rep. That said, $65 isn't a bad price to try it out. Just make sure your Header O.D. is 2.5 inches otherwise you will need and adaptor and those have a history of sucking.

These guys supposedly make good stuff. http://www.coneeng.com/motorcycle_components.html

More expensive though.
