Battery question

Hello guys,

I know there's a lot of threads about this but didn't find my answer.

So I ask you guys for help,

I have a cb750 -72 and gonna go with -
R/R box
Dyna ignition
No turn lights
No horn
Front light low/high
Taillight/break light
Motogadget digital speedo

How smal you think I can go with the battery? Gonna make all wires new.

My friend says 12v 0.5a is enough but I don't think so, or? But can I go with a 1-2,5 a? Or do I need 3-5a?

If you are not going to use the electric starter the 0.5 amp will be enough to activate the charging system, but the lights will go dim when idling. I would go with 2.5 amp myself.

Bettery to have the battery capacity and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I'm guessing you want to hide a bunch of stuff. You can get the gel type batteries in a significant amperage. I don't know how tolerant they are of overvoltage levels. It's possible to have a stock charging system put out 13-15 volts in normal operations. Best to read up on them, and see what they can handle.

Ye sorry forgot to tell you that I'm going with just the kick starter. So a 12v2.5a battery will be fine?
