Bleed nipple in banjo bolt?

fighterDaz
Hi, I have recently purchased an 1982 cb750K, its in need of alot of work. First job was to sort out the brakes, and of course the bleed nipples sheared of!! The bleed nipples are in the banjo bolt at the point were the brake line connects to the calipers. Are these standard and can anyone tell me how and were to buy them, I cannot get the remaining nipple threads out so the bolt is require, I have spare nipples so just bolt required. Any help or advice welcome. Thank you. fighterDaz (FD).

Ok, will try to sort a pic, but let me explain. The bleed nipple is in the bolt that secures the brake fluid line to the caliper. This is not exclusive to cb's..I have no bleed nipple in the caliper itself. I asked a biker friend and he says this is not uncommen..fd..

You could just put a regular banjo bolt in it and crack that bolt to bleed it.Might be messy, but it would work.

Thanks Ribs, I have done that for now, but I found the banjo bolt including nipple for about £4.00 each on eGay..  Sorted the sticking throttle and got some new disc pads, She should have her fist outing in a few years early next week. I have no documents for bike so I have got a form from post office to fill in and send off, frame number etc, I've done this before, its pretty straight froward, then I have to decide what to do with the old girl, chopper/bobber/hardtail or ride as is. Only cost £585 so nothing to loose whatever I do..fD

Yes it does. Hit Alt and 0163 on the numeric keypad. OR, read this article to see how to set up the permanent Alt-L shortcut on your keyboard in Word.

On the Mac you can always hit option-3 regardless of the program you're in.

Well, you said your keyboard couldn't do it, but it can. lol

Oh, I put the link up this time. I forgot last time.

Which is why it didn't work, I wrote the wrong numbers down. LOL

I fixed it.
