Blowing fuses

I wasn't able to get my headlamp working at first, then I charged my battery fully and the lamp worked on low. When turned to high beam, the lamp would turn off. After doing this a couple of times for a minute, the 15a fuse would blow and all lights would go out. Any ideas?

Seems this missed some viewing. I have not had something like this, but I am moving it to the top forum to get more views.

I will say to pull apart the control housing and check the contacts. The ball is known to flatten from use and may be causing a short.

After that, I would pull the headlight out and check the connectors in the shell. They could have degraded and are shorting.
