Blue Smoke and oil... I think that is bad

PsyopSPC
I drive a 1981 CB750c that I got cheap from a friend of a friend. I have done nothing to it except regular oil changes new tires and a new chain and sprockets over the last 4 years that I owned it (of wich one I spent in Iraq and it sat in a storage locker). A few days ago I jumped on the highway and when I glanced back my far right tailpipe (bike has for pipes one for each cylinder) was spewing blew smoke. A few seconds later I lost power. I pulled it off the highway and towed it home. My buddy and I did some snooping and found that there was oil coming out of the far right tailpipe and when we removed the plugs the cylinder next to it had oil in it as well. I drained the crabs and cleaned out my tank to ensure that was not the issue and it starts now but runs rough. I am thinking the rings went bad but I am a total noob at this so any pointers would be helpful. I am thinking I may want to rebuild the engine (although it only has 26000 miles) If I do what manual should I use. Anyway thanks for any help you might give.

Compression check will tell you if its rings. If the compression is OK its probably valve stem seals. If compression is low then dont run it any more. Cracked rings damage cylinder walls quickly!

2nd all that.  Could've lost a valve too....They do need periodic adjusting.
