Bolt size ?

icerigger
Hi guys. Just putting the Behemoth back together, anticipating ice out, and ran into a small problem.
Does anyone know what size bolt is used to hold in the tachometer cable to the head on a DOHC?
PO used an undersized bolt with a glob of silicon on the end. I got all the goop out and just need a new bolt.

I had the exact same problem (although my bikes PO just took the bolt out and didn't replace it with anything).

It's a 5x20 bolt.  I just used one from the hardware store.  I don't know exactly how long it is, but make sure you don't use one that is too long.  There is a very thin piece of aluminium at the bottom of that bolt that could easily get pushed through if you use a long bolt.

It looks like you can get the official bolt from dealer still though.  I think I will actually go this route because my hardware store bolt looks terrible.
