CB750 KO Tank strip, paint or decal?

GTP
I will be repainting my red (faded) tank, side covers, airbox, etc on my CB750 K0. When I look at the gold stripes, which are outlined with a black pinstripe, I can't really tell if they are decals or painted on. I want to keep/restore the bike to original. Anybody know? Also, Ebay has a guy who supplies matched paints ready to go. Anybody have any experience with him?  Thanks GTP

I wonder if anyone reads my replies to their questions. If you go to www.cmsnl.com and od some research , you will fond your bike listed ( obviously click on the Honda link and serach around until you find your bike. Then look up the the colour of your bike, from there scroll down until you find the exact colour that was made by Honad and you will find the paint code. With the paint sode any reputable piant shop should be able to make the identical colour. What you do after that is anybodys guess. There is a website that lists all the bike and the decals that go with the appropriate bike. The website is www.afegraphics.com
They are an American Company so you wont have the problems I have had getting parts to restore my CB750KZ.  Still looking for a handlebar for my 750

I`m glad someone reads the replies :)) Your Honda is an ealry model. How difficult is it in the USA to get parts for these early models and the later ones right up to the CB750KZ models ?

Well, I'm new to CB750 restoration thing, so I'm still figuring out where to get information, and where to get NOS type parts. Fortunately, my bike is very original and complete. I'm hoping to rechrome existing parts (where needed) and repaint. The bike only has 11,270 miles on it, and spent most of it's life in storage.
