CB750F Parts Wanted - Alternator Cover & Signal Stay

CB Bob
Am looking for a couple of parts for my 1981 CB750F Super Sport.  I need and Alternator Cover and Left Front Signal Light Stay.

The alternator cover can be from any 1979 -82 CB750 model C, F and K  or also from the 81 - 82 CB900's. The cover I have currently is heavily scratched, so the replacement would need to be in reasonable condition (ie: no deep surface scratches).

The left front signal stay is actually the bracket that allows the front left signal light to be mounted to the lower triple tree.  I believe the 1981 - 82  CB750F's are the same part number, so either year would work.

Let me know if you can help me out ... thanks.

Just a Q. Have you removed all the clear coat and such to see how it all looks? Maybe it is not as bad as it looks?

The alternator cover I currently have is totally buggered.  As many of these outer cases are commonly found ... my restoration bike alternator cover is thoroughly and deeply scratched up from guys dropping the bike over the years.

When I typically restore engine outer casings, I normally polish them to a near chrome lustre ... so I don't really care if the original protective clear coating is coming off.  I'm more concerned with deep scratches that ruin the asthetics and integrety of the piece.

OK I wasnt sure. I asked as I have know people to think their covers are scratched only to remove the clear coat and have a good part.

Bob, if all else fails, you can still get new ones. I bought a new chrome point cover for $33 and stator housing/cover for $200 from hdlparts. My stator cover was full of JB Weld. Amazing it didn't leak.

Thanks Winger ... I do have a line on a new one, but trying my luck at the economy route first.
