Caliper pin clip?

fighterDaz
Hi all, just re-assembling my front brakes (82 cb750K), and the pins have nothing to hold them in? Looked on manual on here, and it mentions pin clips. Can I simply put sum wire through the holes in the pins, also the cover is missing, but I dont think that matters, saftey wise that is. Has anyone got a photo of a complete caliper with pins etc, the diagram in the manuals are not clear enough. Thanks for manuals, great help. fD

Have, you checked out the parts diagrams at bikebandit, or powersedge? They might show what, you need to know. BTW there are two different calipers, for the 82 year.

Tools, I have wired the pads for now, can you help with another issue. My brakes will not bleed, I have bled more brakes than you can shake a stick at. After caliper re-build, new fluid etc, loads of fluid passed through the system, lots of air removed, no more air after loads of fluid passed through the system, still no brake? fD

The only way I have found that works to bleed motorcycle breaks; is to use a pump type oil can, and a piece of vacuum hose. Fill the oil can with break fluid, and connect one end of the hose to the spout, and the other to the open bleeder. Then pump the fluid up to the master cylinder. These master cylinders do not pump enough fluid to compress the air, and move it down to the bleeder (air wants to go up).

Great tip TOOLS!  Wish I had thought of that before I spent 3 hours doing it when I replaced my master cyl.
In 1972 I had to make a choice...quit riding...or quit drinking.  God says it's safe to get back in the saddle now...at least I'm still alive...and feel more alive with the wind in my face!  Now riding "Helen Black"...1982  CB750SC.
