Cam crank chain tensioner?

shultz_1978
How do you take the tension off the cam and crank chain on a dohc?

I have the back intake cam out, but can not see how to take the tension off the front cam chain the run to the crank.

Thanks

Simple if some one else can, why can't I

You have to pull on the a chain tensioner with some pliers. The procedure is detailed in the fsm.

Np bud :-).

There is also a fantastic pictorial thread on installing the head and another one on installing the camshafts over on the c site. It will give you a good sense of how to remove them.

I believe they're stickies in the tips and tricks section. I'd link, but I'm on my phone.
