Cam drive bolt.

j_teether
Hi all,

The bolt that you loosen to reset the chain for the cam drive on my bike snapped. If you know what I'm talking about, you might know that it is quite difficult to get at. So do any of you have suggestions on how to get the broken piece out?

Thanks a bunch

You may have to remove the tension assembly, drill it out and back it out with a screw extractor. The bolt just holds a spring loaded plunger in place so it doesn't flop around. It does not need to be real tight, just good and snug with the locknut. There is a good procedure in the Clymer manual what position the timing should be and when to snug the chain.
