Came home to find this....

MarkPBG
Somehow this little guy got inside and was chilling out on the tile floor by the patio door. From what I found online, it's a juvenile red rat snake. It was very docile and i was able to just reach down and pick it up to put it in this bag for transport to the back yard. :)

Now all you need is a pole, and a stripper.

I dunno, this snake was only about 6-8 inches long...and not a boa constricter, the stripper's favorite snake-prop. :)

Ugh,I despise snakes. You picked it up?!?  You need to come to my house then. About a week or two ago I saw about 5-6' worth of black snake crawling under my table. I dont know how long he is total. 5-6' is all I saw. You want directions? I've had a couple clear shots at him in the past few days, but I just know the bird shot will ding my tank if it ricochetes I ain't grabbing him!

I also dislike snakes, but if you hurt that black snake we are not going to be friends. They eat other snakes, and rats.

Oh,I wasn't planning on hurting him...I was gonna kill himPoint made. Never seen a poisonous snake in my area in my life. Only blackies. But,to be honest, I'd much rather have mice in the barn than snakes. I don't do snakes. If he wants to live...he can leave

Most of the black ones, like the black racer, will bite you if you corner them, but it doesn't hurt much and sometimes breaks the skin. It's like getting bitten by a kitten...sharp little teeth, but nothing to really worry about. Most of them you'll only see in the house if they've tracked down a food source.....like a mouse or rat. Once they've eaten all your pests, they'll leave on their own, you don't even need to worry about them. If you do want them out right away, there are safe snake traps that work and won't hurt them....they sell for just $25 online. I wouldn't bother though, most of them can just be picked up and moved, or gently guided towards a nearby door with a broom.

Had a black snake for a pet when young, Very common shake here in florida. Ring neck and hog nose snakes are also common and harmless.  Rat snakes are very cool because they are not aggressive.  If they get aggressive it's usually because they had a bead on something to eat and you just screwed it up.
